Grodno Oblast executes government grain procurement plan by 45%

Agricultural producers of Grodno Oblast have executed the government grain procurement plan by 45%, BelTA learnt from Iosif Shkubel, chief state inspector for purchases and quality of agricultural produce of the Grodno regional agricultural and industrial committee.

This year’s government grain procurement plan for Grodno Oblast has been set at 247,000 tonnes. The region has already delivered 110,000 tonnes. The wheat and rye procurement plans have been met by 66.1% and 52.5% respectively. The region has met the plan for the grain for alcohol production and brewery barley by 30%. Zelva, Korelichi and Mosty districts have executed the procurement plan by 60%.

On 3 August last year Grodno Oblast executed the government grain procurement plan by 14%.
