Lida District companies’ output up 10% in January-August
In January-August 2010 commercial output of the Lida District companies increased by Br1.3 billion in comparable prices. The overall output grew by 10% on the same period 2009, BelTA learnt from Chairman of Lida District Executive committee Andrei Khudyk.
In his words, one third of the companies increased their output by 20%. The monthly average output totaled Br150 billion, and it exceed Br180 billion in August.
The companies of the district sell their goods in 70 countries. The export of such companies as Lidselmash, Lida Footwear Factory, Lida Food Concentrates, and Lida dairy surged by two or four times as compared with January-August 2009. On the whole, the district achieved a $14.2 million surplus in foreign trade, Andrei Khudyk said.
