Lida grain combine successfully tested in Serbia
Lida-1300 grain combine showed good results during the tests in Belgrade, Serbia, in late July 2010, BelTA learnt from Ivan Reishel, head of the Lidagroprommash after-sale service department.
In his words, this year Serbia has poor harvest in wheat. Moreover, July showers have even worsened the situation in the fields. Despite it, the Lida-1300 combine operated well and turned to be more productive than its foreign analogues that partook in the tender competition.
The agricultural vehicle has been praised by Serbian specialists, stressed Miladin Zoric, Technical Director of the Yubel Company, Serbia. Foreign observers pointed to the quality-price ratio of the Belarusian combine harvester. Of course a lot to be done to advance the Lida products to the EU, but, as Miladin Zoric believes, the process has already started. Lidagroprommash needs to settle the issue regarding the quality of component parts it receives as soon as possible, the representative of the Serbian company said.
Lida producers also plan to export its equipment to Slovakia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Germany. In 2010 the company is set to produce almost 450 grain combine harvesters, with 70% of them destined for export. In January-June 2010 the company exported $4.5 million worth of grain combines and sowing equipment.
Founded in 1958, Lidagroprommash was reorganized into an open joint stock company in 2004. The first Lida combine rolled off the line in 1999. Last year the company designed Lida-1600 for working in high-yield conditions.
