Over 80 Grodno servicemen provided with service apartments
Over 80 military families of the Grodno garrison have been provided with service apartments, BelTA learnt from Sergei Potapenko, Head of the Western operational command. A modern multistoried apartment house was built in line with the state military housing program. The Grodnozhilstroy company was the construction contractor. 83 more military families will move into new service apartments in April 2011. According to Sergei Potapenko, the state policy to improve the housing conditions of servicemen provides for the construction of both cooperative and service housing. As for today there are nearly 1,000 military men in Grodno who need better housing. The city plans to settle the housing problem within the next three years.
